For over 120 years, the Shirley T. Frye YWCA Greensboro has strived to eliminate racism and empower women. Our programs provide education, support, shelter, and assistance to Greensboro’s most marginalized populations, including homeless families, pregnant and parenting teens, and minority groups facing racial injustice.
The Preserve The Legacy campaign challenges us to ReCover, Reimagine, and Rebuild fundamental tenets of sustaining our legacy.

The focus of this campaign is to reimagine key areas within our organization. We strive to strengthen our financial position and fund development to best access and utilize funding to support sustainability of programming. We hope to increase Board recruitment and retention to build a strong governing body. We will achieve program goals and outcomes by placing our focus on the success of our participants. We have and continue to advance leadership and management through hiring a permanent President and CEO, and participating in opportunities for staff development.
