Pack 'n Play Initiative

Our Pack ‘n Play Initiative is an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of co-sleeping. There are dangers of having your baby sleep with you, including accidents and infant deaths. Many of our program participants cannot afford a Pack ‘n Play for their baby to sleep independently and use on the go.

How to Help

We are asking for donations of Pack ‘n Plays to prevent infant mortality.

The YWCA Teen Parent Mentor Program (TPMP) helps teen mothers succeed in school, postpone subsequent births to beyond adolescence, and deliver and raise healthy, school-ready children.

By offering positive support through case managers, doulas, mentors, and peer group meetings, TPMP helps teen mothers address many of the personal and social barriers to school continuation. The information and support offered through TPMP helps moms deliver healthy babies, increasing the likelihood that they can stay in school without the challenge of parenting children with special needs.

The Teen Parent Mentor Program receives generous support from United Way of Greater Greensboro, Cone Health Foundation, Guilford County, and NC Department of Health and Human Services.
