Pack 'n Play Initiative

Our Pack ‘n Play Initiative is an effort to raise awareness about the dangers of co-sleeping. Utilizing Pack ‘n Plays encourages safe sleeping, reduces the risk of Sudden Infant Death Syndrome (SIDS), and other sleep-related causes of infant death.

How to Help

We are asking for donations of Pack ‘n Plays to our Teen Parent Mentor Program participants for their babies to sleep independently and use on the go.

  • Visit our Amazon wish list to purchase one and send it directly to us
  • Bring a new Pack ‘n Play to the YWCA Greensboro
  • Donate money for us to purchase a Pack ‘n Play

The YWCA Teen Parent Mentor Program (TPMP) helps teen mothers succeed in school, postpone subsequent births to beyond adolescence, and deliver and raise healthy, school-ready children.

By offering positive support through case managers, doulas, mentors, and peer group meetings, TPMP helps teen mothers address many of the personal and social barriers to school continuation. The information and support offered through TPMP helps moms deliver healthy babies, increasing the likelihood that they can stay in school without the challenge of parenting children with special needs.

The Teen Parent Mentor Program receives generous support from United Way of Greater Greensboro, Cone Health Foundation, and Guilford County.
